Hey Will, where are you from?



The fact that you say you female doesn't have any black in her bands (and judging by your pictures) tells me she's not a "western" (or at least the part of western australia that warrants a difference in species type). You can and do see some reddish type animals in North West Australia...getting close to the Northern Territory Boarder (And if you do live in Aussie then I apologize as you guys have access to animals we don't have in the US...such as red westerns) but, the animals that warrant being different enough from the rest of the country in Western Australia are from the Pilbara areas...80 mile beach, Sandfire, Port Headland, Little Sandy desert, etc



Those animals are smaller in size and are a cream/white and chocolate/black bands (closer to the picture of the male you posted)

Nice animals though. They a great species.
