Jon Roylance and a friend, discovered the first Known Kennerlyi axanthic in 2007. My friend was in the field and jon found the snake on the road. Jon took that animal and some others to breed it to. He was successful and produced possible hets(they have never been proven out) Then something personal happened and the male axanthic died and a number of other hogs as well. After this the story gets cryptic.

In 2012, my friend told me about an area to see hogs. V, my wife, really wanted to see them in nature. He did not tell me where the axanthic was found. Let it be known, I had seen hogs there in the past, on my way to the mountains, many times. Mostly dead on the road. So my wife and I went. I could careless about road hunting a hog. So I immediately went in the bush. Within a few minutes, I found a neonate. At the exact same time, my wife found one on the road. It was great fun. We found a lot of hogs, beat my friends record. The next week we went again, This time we found one of those funny looking axanthics, took its picture and released it. hahahahahaha I told my friend and he beat me with a stick until I bled profusely. After he returned to the states, we went together. We found another neonate, he took it. A couple of weeks later, I found a 18 inch female. Which really blew his mind. it was maybe 100m away from where Jons male was found. I then found a 15 inch mature male, maybe a mile away. These two are the pair that produced axanthic neonates. part one.
