I have never seen but have heard of females at 1000 grams plus. That would be a very rare occasion. I do have a couple of females that are close to 900 grams and even that is HUGE in terns of hognose snakes. And incidentally, these females are very poor producers. My best producing females are under 350 grams.

It cant hurt to have a 2000 gram scale. Being in construction for 20 years has taught me that it is better to have a tool and not need it than to need a tool and not have it.
