Inc Is this leopard gecko being abused, if so what can I do? I apologize in advance for the long post, I got very into it. Ok, so I am a junior in highschool who is very concerned about the well being of a class pet. I found out this week one of the teachers had a leo as a class pet. I wanted to see this leo just because I love animals, but I was disgusted when I went in and saw the poor thing. I personally do not own a leo but I know a small bit about them, I have a bearded dragon and during my many hours of research on them learned a small bit about leos. So first thing I noticed when I went in was how skinny he was, you can see his spine and the abdomen is very narrow overall. The second thing I noticed was its eyes were shut even while it walked, I believe this is called stuck shed. The third thing that concerned me was the tank it was in, no water in the dish, loose substrate (which for beardies that's a huge no), and there was one extremely bright light which I found out is left on 24/7! The last concern I had was when he walked and moved his head he was very lethargic with his movements. So after these three things got me worried I talked to my friend who had this teacher and she let me know about how it is only fed once a week, he also does not bathe it. Later this week I will be check the temperatures and I will take pictures for you guys, but from what I told you all do you think this leo is abused or am I grasping at nothing, if this is abuse what can I do about it? Thank you so much for the help!
