Well, it's been FAR too long since we've been able to get onto the forum and say hello, but since it was just our 9th birthday, we couldn't wait to say hi to Khamsin, Feather, Callahan, Grandma Pam, and all the cool PH people out there.

We had a wonderful, wonderful day. We got up really early and went coursing for 90 minutes at the big park. Then we came home and snuggled and had chicken treats and pork skins. Then we went for a truck ride, followed by a two hour walkie in the hills, followed by lots more snuggling and liver treats and chew toys, followed by our evening walkie, followed by flashlight games, tug, and bedtime. It was great!

(Lee: Actually, that's what we do every day.)

Exactly! It was perfect! The humans have trained up brilliantly and we're very proud of them. However, they still keep the treats bag on top of the fridge. Nobody's perfect.

We just came back from our annual checkup and we are in FABULOUS health, although Emma had to have surgery in February for a blocked salivary gland. She's fine now, despite the indignity of having to wear an Elizabethan cone for two weeks, which she still managed to maneuver under the covers.

(Lee: Steed jumped away from her every time he saw it. Must have thought it was catching.)

We are starting to show a little gray around the muzzle, but it is very becoming. Steed thinks it makes him look like William Powell. Age is taking its toll, however; our top speed has kicked down from 35 mph to a mere 30.

(Lee: Meaning I still can't keep up when we jog.)

We miss you all and hope to see you at the next big Pharaoh confab in California.

Happy birthday to us, happy birthday to us...

Steed and Emma
