Posted by: Chelle at Thu Jun 7 13:40:14 2012 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Chelle ] We have a new addition to the family. She is a 4 month old black and tan Shiba puppy we have named Katsu. She is an amazing little girl and has provided a very different and unique distraction to our household. I will not pretend that the transition from having two senior dogs in the house to having a puppy in the house has been easy. It has been a LONG time since we have had a puppy and the cobwebs in the brain are thick. the kids have been very good helping out and making sure Katsu gets exposed to all the strange things the world can throw at her. We are going to her 3rd puppy class tonight and have to decide what to do after puppy classes. Some of that will be decided based on availablility of classes in the area. She will be exposed to obedience/agility/rally/tracking- anything that she wants to be exposed to. It's ultimately her choice what we specialize in. Her grandfather loves to lure course, so we will be looking into that in March of next year when she is old enough. She will also have a start in conformation showing. She may not go far with it because she may get too big for breed standard, but that is fine with me. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
