Posted by: Shboom at Sun Aug 12 18:18:54 2012 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Shboom ] So outside of Toshi's allergies which have been virtually non-existant this year she has been the one dog over the years to give me the least problems. That is until this past Thursday when she came into the house holding up her left hind leg and whimpering. A trip to the vet on Friday confirmed what I suspected that she had torn an ACL. The surgery is scheduled for Wednesday when my vet will perform suture reconstruction of that area. Way back when my Springer mix Shemp had the same surgery on the same leg and he had a full recovery. The down time will be the same though it may be a little more difficult with Toshi as Shemp was content to be a less active than Toshi but having gone through it before I know what's ahead of me for the next 4-6 weeks.
