Butter is fine, as is any animal fat. As carnivores, dogs should be getting meat, bone, fats, as well as organ meats, omega 3 fats, intestinal bacteria, in the form of yogurt, and some fiber, such as bran or psyllium. If you have been feeding your dog dry dog food, you might want to try this mix.
