Brewster is very healthy for his age. There are no major concerns. He is showing early signs of cataracts, but his vision is still good. His nose is starting to get a little dry on the edges. They said that is normal for his age. They checked to make sure it didn't feel like that cancerous lump is coming back and it didn't. We had some senior blood work drawn. They admired his temperament. They gave us a referral to an internal medicine vet who should be able to help us appeal the rabies vax. They said it's usually easy if a dog is on chemo or something, but pretty difficult otherwise. They agreed that he should not have the vaccine after the last reaction and seizures. So, fingers and paws crossed that the internal medicine could help us out. I also asked if there were any medical reasons why it may not be in Brewster's best interest to introduce a puppy at this stage of the game. They said no, he's in good health and not showing signs of anything bothering him. We are going to start him on a glucosamine supplement.
