COLOR CHANGES IN GOLDFISH

WHEN I FIRST GOT MY GOLDFISH THE BRIGHT GOLD ONES HAD A BLACKENED RIM AROUND THEIR FINS AND ONE OF THEM WASNT GOLD AT ALL. NOW, ALL THE BLACKENED TAILS ARE GOLD AND THE DARK COLORED ONE IS SLOWLY GETTING LIGHTER AND MORE GOLDEN IN COLOR. IS THIS SOMETHING HORMONAL OR SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE WATER? IS THIS NORMAL? IF NOT NORMAL WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?
