ick looks like spots of salt on the fish and it can be anywhere and not be much. the problem with ick is that one spot can have 100's of babies and in no time all the fish can get it. if your fish still has spots then the best thing to use is aquarium salt.
get a heater and raise the temp to 80c slowly. then add 1 level teaspoon of the salt per gallon and then 12 hours later do the same and then again 12 hours after that to give you a .3% solution. you can keep it like this for 2 weeks which is long enough to kill any nasties. i would also say to do regular gravel vacs as well as the ick hides in the gravel when it falls off the fish, but remember to add the same amount of salt back in. so say for instance two days after you added the salt you take out 5 gallons. You would then add the same water back in with 15 level teaspoons of salt.

just to make sure it is ick can you post a pic if the spots havent gone?
