Hello, I have a 1500 gallon outdoor pond. It has been up for 6 or 7 years now. Now all of a sudden all the bluegill are dead. I had caught them in a nearby golfcourse pond and they have been in there for around 4 or 5 years and were doing great. At first I just saw one of them dead and he was huge, so i figured he may have died of old age, then last night I found 8 dead and now i just found 2 more. What is causing this and can i fix it? I am in Tucson Arizona so it may be getting too hot for them? It is in partial shade but we have had 40 straight days of over 100 degree temps(most 110 degree). I think the pond is in the low 90 degree range. I also have a bunch of goldfish in there that have also grown huge and they seem perfectly healthy, except one that is extremely wide. He is about as wide as he is long! its freaky. I thought my bluegill would be hardier than my goldfish? Any help is greatly appreciated.
