Mosaic fish container questions

Hi, New member here. I'm thinking of doing a basin for goldfish for my garden. I have a question:

If I line the basin with glass mosaic tiles, are there any potential threats to the goldfish from the materials I might use? (Chemicals leaching into the water?) If so, how can I know which to use and which not to use?
