The way to get rid of string algae or suspended algae is to make a biological filter or increase the size of the filter you already have. Filtration systems at the bottom of a pond is only mechanical. Check out our clubs website at: www.geocities.com/ont_pondkeper and look in the water condition section to show you how to make your own.
