Hi ! We have a decent sized pond in the southern tier of New York that we also use as a swimming hole. However recently we discovered that we had two turtles which has suddenly and quite quickly turned into five turtles..They are about 6" in length each, but we can't get close enough to see any markings..We have not seen them sunning themselves at all, and they only have appeared in the water up until this time and not on the land around the pond...They are very calm and don't bother us at all while we are swimming, but we wondered if there are any bacterial diseases or problems that turtles could produce that we should be concerned with since we also swim in the water.. Is there any concern about salmonila? There are no fish in the pond but tons of frogs..Please let us know if we should be concerned..Thanks !
