Posted by: Hornby at Tue Aug 29 18:29:47 2006 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Hornby ] I reside in Australia 4 hours drive north of Sydney. I have just completed a new pond aprox 4 x 1.3 x 0.5 meters deep equals 2,600 litres (690 US gals) So far after 4 weeks there is not a problem with algie (we are in our winter here) however I fully expect the problem to arise as the weather warms up. On reading the answers to questions on algie removal there seems to be little or no mention of utilising snails. The pond plant suppliers are saying snails will control algie. Does anyone have thoughts on using snails? Or are they more trouble than they are worth? [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] | ||
