I'd like to piggyback on this question, if I could.

I live in northern Virginia and have a frog question.

I have a small artificial/home made pond in my back yard, approximately 8’ x 3’ by about 8-10 inches deep, lined with pond liner.

I also have a HUGE frog who has taken up in the thing. I swear – this frog is as big as my hand. Huge. Looks like a gargoyle when he is sitting on the rocks. Just your regular ol’ run of the mill pond frog, though – nothing exotic.

I’m concerned about what he is going to do when the cold weather comes. He really doesn’t have any place to burrow into the ground, if that is what he is planning to do, so I’m curious if I should re-locate him to one of the bigger natural ponds in the area and if I should do that, when I should do that.

Thanks!
