I have a pond with about six kois & a few comet goldfishes that I have been raising for the the past four years... Just this past Sunday (6/24/07) in the late afternoon, I noticed that there were eggs all over the place (walls, filter media, etc)... My pond is the rectangular above-ground type and is fairly shaded therefore I have no plants in it... I remember changing the water early in the morning on that same day... Once I noticed the eggs, I went ahead a started collecting them and tranfered them to a 10gal tank... This is the first time my fishes have spawned... I have read that fertilized eggs are transparent & takes about 3-4days or so to hatch... Well, I just noticed that the eggs now looks transparent but with white dots in it... Are they still alive or did I collected too early without them being properly fertilized??
This might be an odd problem, but I just wanted to be sure... Thanks!!!
