so i wasnt informed that lavender scents can harm gerbils because their respiratory system isnt as immuned to scents like humans. i had bought kaytees soft sorbent lavender scented bedding thinkin o wow this will make my gerbil gavins cage smell nice...he'll like that. but then he broke out 2 days after i switched his bedding. i called the vet and he said it was because of the lavender in the bedding. why would someone sell a product meant for small animals that harms them?? not ever buyin one of their products again...
