Hi all! We have what seems to be a very loving pair of adult parrotfish - you know, the goofy looking super fat freshwater fish...

They're in our community tank, but we're thinking about putting them in isolation because they keep trying to be parents! Has anyone had success breeding them?

I've heard they're supposed to be non-fertile though because of their parentage/mutt status.

If isolating them would be in vain, I won't worry about it, but if they could be parents I feel bad because they work so hard to build a nest and then someone else comes by at night and scavenges all the eggs.

Please help! Thanks!
