loopy guppy

I was wondering if there was a dissess that makes fish where they cants swim or where they swim in circles the reason I ask is about a week ago I bought some alge eaters and they did that and died and a peloc that is now dead that acted fine all from the same store I want to know if this is just so happen to happen or what because now one of my guppies in the same tank as the algie eater is being loopy and I have him in a breeder net trying to save him because I'v had him for about two yrs I'v just trying to figure out if its just old age or something that I can cure that my other fish might get please help if you know I know hes just a guppie but hes my baby I started my tank with him about 2 yrs ago I'm kind of attached to him I really would like to save him if I could
