Posted by: DMD87 at Fri Jun 13 14:40:30 2008 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by DMD87 ] My 29 gal. tank i have is now growing brown algae crazy only in the filters, i have 4 very small albino tiger oscars and 2 4in. plecos(I have a 150 gal. tank cycling right now im going to move them into) all the water parameters are fine 0nitrites,10ppm nitrates,0 ammonia,ph 8.0. the filters are aquaclear 50's and there are two of them. i know brown algae grows when their isnt enough light but other than mounting a light on the filters i cant figure out how to take care of it. algae in the tank is fine and gets eaten by the plecos i guess.
