Thanks Phishie,

I found out that the fish in question is called a Banded Sculpin. (cottus carolinae) It inhabits spring fed creeks and feeds on larva and such. It is also loved by trout.

Thanks again and hopefully, if anyone else finds one of these, this post can help them.
