It is in deed a cichlid, but it has to be a hybrid because it doesn't look like any one particular fish. It is very beautiful though. It reminds me of a jack dempsey, but it reminds the other moderator of the dolphin cichlid. It should be very happy in the 75 gallon. Jacks need at least a 55 as a minimum requirement. I am not sure about dolphin cichlids as I have never heard of them until the other moderator told me of them. Good luck.
