Posted by: maskdt at Sun Mar 2 11:52:55 2008 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by maskdt ] A family-owned pet store near me has recently gotten some fiddler crabs, and it looks like they'll be getting more soon (there was one male left when I was there, and he looked very happy and healthy sitting on his rock out of the water). I can't find much on their care, except that they need brackish water and somewhere to rest on land. I know them to be excellent scavengers and hunters (we had a female in a freshwater setup when I was a kid and she caught and ate three of my angelfish) so food won't be a problem, what with there being fish, lizards, and land hermit crabs already in the house.
