Hi, and welcome to the board.

A critter keeper will work as a temp. home, but you will need to get it into at least a 5 gallon aquarium. The bigger the better. Make sure that you have a dechlorinator, or bottled water - tap water has harmful chemicals in it that need to be removed before giving it to your hermit crab.

A few more things you will need -
*Extra shells in different sizes - they like playing in them, but they also need to change shells occasionally.
*Thermometer & Humidity gage.
*A product called Instant Ocean is reccomended - hermits need access to fresh and salt water.
*Climbing toys, etc.

I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions feel free to ask. I hope you stick around. You'll definatly find out that Hermit Crabs can be addicting.
