Im like 5months into the reef aquarium. I have several corals, and 7 fish...none that are really large, except my yellow tang. I just got a duncan coral, well, actually I bought it like last Sunday. The guy at the pet store said they are pretty hardy. I bought one with three heads on it. It was fully opened in the store, brought it home, placed it under a little ledge I seen, that was the perfect spot, or at least I thought it was. I waited a few days like two and one was trying to open up and he would go right back in. Im thinking this little guy is not happy here so I placed him in the sand bed near a rock, he tries to come out but still is not happy. What am I doing wrong with this coral. I do not want it to die, if it does not get fed Im sure he`s going to die. I feed my corals a product called fuel by seachem, they said it was an awesome product, so I buy it. My duncan coral was not attached to a frag rock when I got it, does it need to be on a frag rock? Please help with the coral I love the coral it is very pretty and would love to have more if possible. The Man at the lfs says the more coral in the tank the less parasites I will have, is this true? All my fish seem to be doing fine so far. I have 80g canister for my 75g. two hydro pumps and two power heads I just bought a refugium and have no instructions on how to hook it all up. This one sits under the tank I just read what the benifits are from having one now I dont know what to do with it since I got it. Can any one tell me how to hook it up to my tank? Thanks for any help given.
