Thanks for the advice. I have a weird question; could it be possible he likes the top? Since I've only had him for less than a week and he's been acting like this most of the time, I'm not really sure what's normal for him. The other thing is that I bought another fish from the same tank as the "sick" one and he's fine. I'm wondering if it could have been nipping because I looked at his gills and they're the same; they haven't gotton worse or better. I've noticed he's pretty upright now and he's been chasing the other fish (there's two of them) and he would go down under his rock for awhile. I'm continuing the pimafix and the melafix just for safe measure.

As for the tank conditions, ammonia is super low (.25 parts per million), the nirates are low and the nitrites are a little high but I figured that just because of the bacteria. The water is a bit cloudy which I don't understand but I thought that may be because I took the carbon packs out because I started treating him.

Do you have any other suggestions or possible answers as to the cloudy water? Also, Jumbo (that's his name) has been eating normally. When he does go up to the top, he almost looks like he's looking for food. When I put floating food in, sometimes he eats and sometimes he doesn't. He eats mainly sinking cichlid gold. The floating kind is a special food made by OSI specifically made for parrots. Thanks again and I look forward to your response!
