If he keeps doing it after you are sitting down, not just when you first come in I would definitely suggest covering that side of the cage. As far as the large dropping, that is not extremely accurate. Yes you could see an egg the following day but it can also be due to the addition of soft foods in the diet and her digestive system trying to catch up with it. The larger dropping does "sometimes" coincide with egg laying but is not 0 accurate especially when other changes have taken place. If you do see an egg we would love to hear from you.
