If you are feeding your iguana good healthy foods (squash, greens, all sorts of veggies, fruit) your cockatiel can have bits of the same types of foods you feed your iguana and pretty much avoid the same types of foods. We work with rescue iguanas and birds so when preparing iguana meals and birdie salads, a lot of the same things go in each. We give our iguanas alfalfa but usually not so much the birds, unless it is fresh with the seed tassles. They both love the sweet potatoes and seem to enjoy picking through the colorful veggies and other foods. Both like a little pasta mixed in at times. If your cockatiel doesn't act interested at first offer it in varieties of ways. Some would rather have it diced or shredded, others mixed together in a salad, some like it hung from clips or skewers so be creative and keep trying!
