Well if he is molting (losing feathers) and throwing up both I would definitely see a vet.



That being said are you sure this was actually throwing up and not regurgitation? When throwing up the food/discharge will be at least partially digested and can actually "shoot" out of the mouth (come out with some force whether projectile or not) not just drain out of the mouth, and not be brought up into the mouth and then just dribbled out. With regurgitation the food will be soggy and ground up but not actually digested and will not come out with force but instead will be brought up into the mouth and then be pushed out, dribbled out etc. The reason why I ask which it is, is because throwing up/vomiting is a definite sign of sickness and birds will rarely vomit unless they have a serious illness which requires immediate vet care. Regurgitation for birds is a sign of mating readiness. They will do this when in season for a chosen mate whether that "mate" is human, feathered or even a toy. If it is regurgitation it is nothing to worry about and should actually be ignored not fussed over because if fussed over they will continue doing it. If it is vomit then they need to see an avian vet immediately!!
