If this is people he is already used to it really shouldn't stress your lovie as much as it is stressing you Just relax. Since they are familiar with lovebirds and with your bird there shouldn't be any problems. Take a deep breath count to 10 and enjoy your vacation. Then if possible bring a treat or toy back to your lovie to show him you are still his loving "person".

The main time someone needs to worry when leaving a bird is if they have never been away from their birds and have never had anyone else help out in their care or even have them visit their birds. If you have a well rounded bird that is used to the care or attention from other people then a vacation should not be a problem. There are many birds that will seem a little moody when you return but even that seems to go away either in the first day or first couple days. Just make sure your friend knows your usual schedule, foods etc and it should be an easy transition.
