What darling birds Annabelle and EDgar are. I've yet to see a blue...I have a green Quaker and love him dearly. Jingles is his name. Don't know if I was on here a couple of years ago. Have changed computers a couple of times since.
Jingles is now going on six, and is recovering from pneumonia. I took one look at him on that early Sat. morn as he sat on the floor of his cage, quickly picked my baby up, cuddled him into a warm carrier and rushed Jingles to the vet. That was three weeks ago, and he is still recovering. He spent two days in hospital, and I've babied him through it with a warm room and vaporizer going. He still sleeps much more and has not really talked since the onset of pneumonia.
Has anyone else had this problem, and does anyone know if pneumonia affects their talking? He has said little in three weeks and has a 100-words/phrases/singing vocabulary.
I don't know how Jingles acquired pneumonia because I'm always so careful of drafts. Our weather had turned extremely cold at the time and I always cover Jingles at night. When the vet said 'pneumonia' I just prayed.
