I have seen and heard of them that have respiratory infections usually due to mold/bacteria but not from dust. We have had several eclectus' in the same room with cockatoos and have never had a problem. I would suggest whichever type of bird you get to make sure they don't develop respiratory problems to purchase a good air purification system.
