I let my dogs out today and there in the yard was an injured (I believe) Mourning Dove. I was able to get it into a box and examined its injuries. It is missing half its left wing and it appears that a cat may have gotten its hands on it. A few areas are red and bleeding slightly as though feathers were ripped out. Since it is missing part of a wing I assume it will never be able to fly and have decided to keep it. I have never owned a bird before so any help and advice you all can offer would be greatly appreciated. Since I won't be able to fly what type of cage will I need? What type of food do they eat? Thanks.

Amanda
