I have pictures, but I don't know if I can post them here in jpeg form. Anyway this bird is very pretty...white face and wings, gray down back and on belly, long white tail feathers with shorter gray tail feathers coming down from the back. Has dark gray band around neck that also has irridescent green, purple, magenta hues. The feathers at the base of the birds head flip up in a little crest, too. We found him wandering the neighborhood, no leg band, and after checking with neighbors, no one is claiming him. I have other pet birds so I have all the provisions to take care of this guy for awhile but I would really like to get it back to it's owner if possible. I am hoping that someone can help me identify what type it is so that if I do get any calls, I will be more informed. I am not planning to let this bird go unless someone can describe him to me exactly! It's very sweet and shows no outward sighns of illness at all. If anyone can help idenity this guy for me, it would be most appreciated! Thank you in advance! I can't attach a pic to this, but I would be more than happy to email one to anyone who can help: kim_riddle@sbcglobal.net
