doves wont go to bed

Hi I kept my doves in a homming net for 4 weeks and my doves slept in the dovecote. I release them and they sleep for 3 nights in the dovecote , now they have decided to sleep on the waste pipes on the house.

Any ideas why - ( I'm getting some bird spikes to keep them off)
