Posted by: Dorla at Mon Oct 25 00:26:31 2004 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Dorla ] We recently purchased 2 18h Percheron mares and their feet were in good shape. The one doesn't like her feet messed with and try as I might can't seem to get her used to the idea of me picking up her feet and holding them there or not walking off and dragging me along like a piece of toilet paper stuck to a shoe. We've all seen that cartoon but not so funny when you're a part of the picture...... The previous owners agree that she doesn't like her feet trimmed and say she has been trimmed with and without stocks but no hint of how. I haven't been able to find a farrier within 80 miles of me that does drafts and he has no stocks. I also have no stocks and no idea where to get any. I've even went so far as to try to find blueprints(so to speak ) of Horse shoeing stocks on the net but no luck. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] |
