A writer for a national magazine is looking for "hero pets" the likes of reptiles, ferrets, potbelly pigs, rabbits, horses, and any other nontraditional pets who have done some type of "heroic"
deeds.

The pet may have warned/alerted owner in some way of a burglary, fire, "saved" them by getting help because someone was sick or having a heart attack, or had been trained to bring medication in time of need, or any other heroic acts.
