My horse got caught in a fence , and struggled to pull his foot out and it sliced his foot, right front ,almost in half, he hit the main artery & nerve.

He was in the pasture & the fence was hidden in the cattails & we never knew it existed.

We rushed him to the vet & he is still there. The vet said this was a very serious injury & needed alot of time 1 -2 years to heel and grow back, but did not know if he would ever be rideable again.

I love this horse so much, 13 yr.old grey tb w/black mane & tail, 15.3 tall & dappled. And he is broke to death , even a dog could ride him.

Has anyone out there ever had to go thru this, and if so, could you please give me some advice on it and what to do.

My husband , said , the vet bills & staying at the vet was going to cost alot more then the horse is worth.

Just looking for someone who understands how i feel about this & who would give me some sort of guidance.

I am totally Lost....
