A local non-profit, state licensed farm refuge here in Maine just got 2 horses in that are in very bad shape.Both horses are under weight and need lots of TLC! This time of the year here in Maine it takes alot to keep an already poor kept horse in good shape. My husband and I have already donated some money towards help but I was told much more is needed. The shelter is a nonprofit that runs strictly on donations. The family who runs/operates it says that they are in need of more donations of money or items that they can post up for auction or raffel to raise more funds.A person could also decide to help sponsor one of the horses for a small donation a month if they would like.
