The most horrible thing happened yesterday.
When i was at work my goat somehow got it's leg caught in the picnic table and flipped upside down off the table and broke its leg.
If must have been stuck there for at least two hours before anyone came home from work. My neighbour had to help me saw apart the picnic table to get its leg free.
It was the most grotesque thing i've ever seen it's leg was completely twisted and broken. It's actually undescrible.
We figured we were going to have to put the goat down. None of the vets i called at first would help us, others said they would call us back and never did.
I finally got a hold of a doctor who said he could help but it would have to wait until morning. I felt so horrible that the poor goat had to suffer all night. It's a good thing that i found this vet because he would bnot put the goat to sleep, but fixed the leg.
I watched him pull the leg back together and splint the leg (which was the most painful part).
The poor thing is in a lot of pain now but im sure it will be alright, it will never have full use of its leg, but at least it didn't have to be put down.
I just can't believe how many vets in may area won't even go out of their way to help an injured animal.
