4-H, what is it??

Well.. the title is pretty much my question. I love goats; boer especially... they are beautiful animals. I've never owned one... but I would very much like to. We live in canada (in case that helps)... I was watching a show, then researched a bit but couldn't find out any info (I know you do 4-h with cows... but i'm a little in the dark about HOW it works etc.)
So how does it work? What do you do? What's involved??

Owned by Banff the calico cat,Casey the orange tabby cat, and Macintosh the golden retriever.

Unfortunately I don't have any livestock... but I ADORE horses, goats and sheep!!
