Goats make excellent companions for horses. The ones who pee on themselves are the bucks, which you would want to avoid. Get a young doe or whether (nuetered or cut buck) as a companion.

You don't have to worry about certain breeds so a good, all around mixed goat will work fine. Do not get it from an auction, as most of those animals are culled for a reason or may pick something up at the auction house. Call someone in 4H, they usually have something you could use.

Also get one dehorned so the hornes do not get close to your horse's eyes or get caught in the fence.

My horse had a pet pygmy that she treated like her foal. Unfortunately, she ate something poisonious in the field and died. My fault, should have given them more room to graze.
