Chaco Golden knee molted twice since feb

i got my fiance a golden knee for valentines day. I went to go check on it today and i noticed that it molted again. The last time it molted was maybe a month ago. When i got it, it was about maybe one inch. is it common for them to molt so frequently? From what i read they only molted a few times a year. Thanks
