Hello,
I have a 1 1/4" Brazilian White Knee. All the internet info says it's range includes northern Brazil. That area is smack inside the Amazon Basin, and very near the equator. I assume a captive would flourish best in an environment that matches it's native conditions. So I have it at 80F, with sessions of 85F. I keep the humidity relatively high, but I don't have any kind of reliable humidity gauge to actually measure a specific humidity, so I guess at that, aiming for 70%. So I keep the substrate slightly damp (read, not bone dry). He uses his hide, which I made from a 2 1/2 inch X 1" prescription bottle, taped over with duct tape so the the bottle would be dark. In a couple of days I'll get pinhead crickets for it. He stays there all day every day (three or four days now), which seems consistent with it's nervous nature. What do you guys think of this care plan?
Roger
