I keep Pokies almost exclusively. They grow REMARKABLY fast up unil the body reaches a length of around two inches. They molt often and seem to almost double their body size when they do. After they reach that size they slow down quite a bit. I've had two males mature, an ornata that matured in about a year and a half and a fasciata that took a little longer than that.

Although pokies are the only large spiders I have kept, I have heard it is similar with other large genuses. I would imagine with a T. blondi, however, they would slow down at a larger size, comparable to their full adult size. My boyfriend keeps Acanthascurria and many of his spiders show similar growth patterns.
