At a zoo-museum in CA, they had a young adult male puma, very well care-for, absolutely beautiful, and awe inspiring, who was "tame". I'm not generally afraid of animals, but when the curator demonstrated to me how the cougar enjoyed rough-housing with people, even strangers, I just couldn't do it. I already knew too much about them to risk even a thousand-to-one mis-chance. With just a few swats he could have changed my whole life. Come to think of it, Jerry 'was' kind of inviting me to play in traffic, because you just never know when a captive wild animal will act out of character. Surprise bites from 20 pound iguanas is about all I can take. Look up Iguana Bite on Google LOL.
