>>I have an old snake cage I used briefly last summer. During that time I used Provent-A-Mite, a strong anti-mite pesticide spray, inside the tank. Since then the tank has been cleaned with hot water, and all ornaments have been thrown out. But O'm still cautious. >> >>My question is... Could this tank be used to house a tarantula now, a year after having been treated with the chemical?
I wouldn't risk it. Tanks are cheap enough. Heck, you can keep a spider in a $1 plastic rubbermaid tote. You never know if that stuff is still around, the residue may never leave. Not worth the life of a spider if you ask me. ----- KJ Vezino My Gallery Missouri Tarantula Enthusiasts Group
