Posted by: Foley at Sun Jun 7 17:35:43 2009 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Foley ] I'm not much into bugs, but my husband and I saw this wonderful-looking creature hanging out on the brick exterior of our home in NW Florida. I'm not even sure I'm in the right forum since I have no idea if it's a beetle or not. But my children (3.5 year old twin boys) were fascinated by it, and I wanted to be able to give them a name for what it is if possible. It was tiny - maybe a few millimeters long - and had a spiny-looking "shell" with a big tuft of white "feathers" on its back end. It had a very bouncy, disjointed kind of walk. Thanks for any help!
